I have an update of the situation now.
It appears that him coming to our house wasn't as completely random as we first thought. You see, our street has a road and on one side of the road we're in a block of three houses in a row, we're the last one, right on the end. Then there's a road into our little cul-de-sac/parking area, some garages, then a set of another three houses in a row, exactly identical to ours. The last house on that set of houses was the one this guy wanted, but he had gone up one street too many and ended up at our house, so this gives a reason to why he thought our house was another one.
Luckily though, he doesn't live in that house a street down from us, but he's connected to it.
Also about 6 or so months ago, the cops had raided that house :|
Anyway, good news is, once the guy had sobered up from his drink and drugs fuelled rage, he REALIZED he had gotten the wrong house once being told about it and apparently was very apologetic and offered to pay for the damage to our door. So at least this does give me confidence that yes, this was an isolated incident and hopefully won't happen again. I am really hoping this incident has knocked some sense into this lad, I really do.
Drink and drugs make you a monster.
But it seems like the guy is generally sorry, so there shouldn't be any repercussions from the incident. I just hope we don't get anymore druggies coming to our house, thinking it's the house a street down from us D|
The guy is going to court tomorrow charged with having drugs on him with the intent to supply and for the damage he caused.
Oh boy, what a start to the week.
